Work Created from on personal time as well as during art classes in middle and high school. Work in pencil and pastels. Mostly created to aid skills needed for other art types, such as paintings.

But I hope you find this to be pretty great. The form is meant to show how clay naturally behaves while the glazes are chosen to mimic and represent the elements such as water and earth. The design process is simple and delicate. My goal for each piece is to keep it as organic as possible by touching it only when necessary.

Search by typing and pressing enter. Sgraffito is one of the art forms I learned about that I loved. There are so many possibilities with this technique. I made more sgraffito vessels than glazed vessels because the carving process was something I enjoyed and it was a calming part of the day for me.
